Website FAQs

How much does it cost to build a new website?
Price may vary by project. Our websites start at $4,000 and up depending on functionality. Website hosting, maintenance, and support are a separate investment from website design and development.
Will I be able to view the website during development?
Yes. During development we host the design on a live subdomain so you can review the site at several points in the process and give feedback before launch.
Will my new website be viewable on smartphones and tablets?
Absolutely. We create all of our designs to be mobile-friendly.
Will I be able to update my new website?
Your website will be integrated with WordPress, which lets you quickly and easily update most text and images with minimal training. Structural or design changes require advanced markup or code — we're happy to make those and can discuss pricing.

Maintenance

How do website maintenance updates work?
For urgent changes (within 12–24 hours) we can train you to add them yourself. For changes you can wait 48 hours on, email support@lifedge.online with instructions, content, or images and we'll take care of it. If a request requires advanced skill or a paid plugin, we'll consult with you before moving forward.
How does billing work on maintenance?
The yearly basic plan includes up to 30 minutes per month of changes. Anything beyond that is discussed with you and billed at $100/hour — but only for the actual time spent. If a change takes 45 minutes, we bill 45 minutes.

Hosting

Are there ongoing costs for hosting?
Yes. Hosting can be paid yearly or monthly and includes free SSL, free CDN, 10GB of disk space, 25K unique monthly visits, and 50GB of bandwidth.
What hosting company do you use?
We currently use WPEngine (Flywheel) for web hosting. We're constantly evaluating the best options to keep your site fast and reliable.

Branding & Graphic Design

Can I keep my existing logo?
If you have an existing logo that you love, absolutely — let's keep it. If not, we can optimize your current logo or create a new one depending on your needs.
Will you use our current company colors?
We certainly can. Unless you need an entire company rebrand, we'll stick with the colors customers already know you by. If you don't have a Brand Style Guide, we can provide a small guideline at an additional cost.
We want to completely re-do our branding. Can you help us start from scratch?
Absolutely. Our visuals and graphic design team will work with you to create a logo, graphics, colors, fonts, photos, and videos that represent your brand — then apply consistent branding across all your materials.

Email & Marketing Terms

What is an automated nurture campaign?
A nurture campaign lets current and potential customers stay connected with you. Weekly or monthly emails speak to your customer's problem, give them a solution, and keep your brand on their mind. One helpful email a week makes a big difference — and it works just as well for your existing customers.
What is a lead generator, and why do I need one?
A lead generator is a piece of value (PDF, video series, checklist, free sample) you give away in exchange for a potential client's email address. It builds trust up front, creates consistent engagement, and generates warm leads more likely to convert into loyal customers.
What is a BrandScript?
A BrandScript is the foundation of your marketing strategy — a story that walks through your customer's problem and describes how you, as their guide, help them find a solution and experience success.
